Quick and Easy

Happy Wednesday.  Hope you have had an opportunity to create this week.

Sometimes I get my inspiration for a card from the catalog.  There are many examples of ways to use a particular stamp set  shown in the catalog.  I don't know if you have ever looked through with a particular stamp set in mind, but it is a great way to obtain ideas.

I love Quick and Easy cards.  (I am certain I have said that before).  The catalog provides many examples of just these types of cards.

Today I choose the Work of Art stamp set (134114) on page 151 in the Annual Catalog.  This card is an example they show on the previous page 150.  I do love this set because you can use it in many different ways.  Feminine, masculine, teenage, etc.  Its now flowers, or animals.

When I made the card, I used Tempting Turquoise as the card base.  I love this color.  I think it may be one of my favorites.  It just pops, in my opinion and makes everything look bright and cheery.
The other color I used was Pool Party.  I am a blue girl, so I thought it worked well together.

The example in the catalog made a square card.  I don't care for square cards.  Not certain what my issue is with them.  Anyway, I turned it into a regular A2 size card.

The sequins are the Iridescent Assortment (144212)  There are so many different colors in this assortment that lend themselves to use with many different colors.

I hope you will try this card.  It really was "quick and easy".

Have a Blessed Easter and I'll see you next month.

Birthday Wishes For You

Happy Wednesday everyone.  I just realized I post my blog on Hump Day.  Guess that is a good time to, hopefully, bring some fun to your day.  Expecting another storm here in New Hampshire.  Please let this be the last one.

Today's card is from the  Birthday Wishes For You Stamp Set(145742) in the Occasions Catalog.  It uses the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (145564) as well as Stampin Blends Daffodil Delight Combo Pack (144603) can Calypso Coral Combo Pack (144045).

I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Pad on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 2 3/4".  Make certain you let the ink dry really well.  I actually did not and got a little smear when I colored the image in.  Just a little tip.

The DSP is cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" to cover the front of the card.  I did add a little twine bow underneath.  (It doesn't show up very well in the photo).

This is a quick and easy card.  I do love this stamp set because of the that.  I hope you will try it out.

Please leave comments and let me know if you like the card or if there are stamp sets you would like for me to display. I would love to hear from you.

That's all for now.  I hope you have a joyful day.

Perennial Birthday

Good Morning Stamping Friends.  Coming from two feet of snow New Hampshire.
Today I want to focus on one of my favorite sets in the Occasions Catalog.  PERENNIAL BIRTHDAY PROJECT KIT (Item#145579) and the stamp set PERENNIAL BIRTHDAY (Item#145760) that goes with it.

I love Kits.  I admit it.  They are some of my favorite ways to stamp.  If you have limited supplies, they are the way to go.  Everything is put together for you and you just follow the directions.

There are a couple of reasons I love this set.  One, it's blue.  I love blue. This shade of blue especially.  Stampin Up is doing a Brand Refresh and I believe the colors in this set are true of that refresh.  So win, win.

Secondly, it comes with the box that has tabs for you to keep track of your birthdays for the entire year.  You can use it not only for the cards you make with the kit, but you can add additional birthday cards you create.

Also, I forgot to mention, this kit is a total bang for your buck.  You make four of each design in the kit.

Now to make this even more of a must have, if you order both products, the kit and the stamp set, you only have to order one more small, tiny item to make the order eligible for a Sale A Bration set.
There are only two weeks left in Sale A Bration so be certain to take advantage of it.

I will see you next week.  Find Joy in your Day!

Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack plus Stampin Blends

Happy Wednesday Friends.  Lots of beautiful coloring in the stamping world today.  I wanted to focus on a fun set of stamped images to color and turn into beautiful, easy cards.

The Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack (Item 145592) is in the Occasions Catalog.  It is a great set of cards with images to color.  If you are a someone who scrapbooks, they make great layouts.  However, as a card maker, I love the ease with which you can make them into a notecards or any occasion cards.

I used the Stampin Blends to color them in.  The Blends, as I like to call them, are so easy to use. If you are a Copic user or always wanted to be, these are the product for you.  They blend easily with two markers per color all ready to go.

I like to use the darker blend to shade where I want it, then come back with the lighter color to blend it together.  There are two tips to the blends.  A bullet end and a brush end.  I prefer the brush end, but, trust me, there is no right or wrong way to use them.  It is all about preference and ease.  That's the way we like it.

I hope you will check these products out.  Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Have a joyful day and if you live in New England, try not to stress about the storm.
