Happy Wednesday. Hope you have had an opportunity to create this week.
Sometimes I get my inspiration for a card from the catalog. There are many examples of ways to use a particular stamp set shown in the catalog. I don't know if you have ever looked through with a particular stamp set in mind, but it is a great way to obtain ideas.
I love Quick and Easy cards. (I am certain I have said that before). The catalog provides many examples of just these types of cards.
Today I choose the Work of Art stamp set (134114) on page 151 in the Annual Catalog. This card is an example they show on the previous page 150. I do love this set because you can use it in many different ways. Feminine, masculine, teenage, etc. Its now flowers, or animals.
When I made the card, I used Tempting Turquoise as the card base. I love this color. I think it may be one of my favorites. It just pops, in my opinion and makes everything look bright and cheery.
The other color I used was Pool Party. I am a blue girl, so I thought it worked well together.
The example in the catalog made a square card. I don't care for square cards. Not certain what my issue is with them. Anyway, I turned it into a regular A2 size card.
The sequins are the Iridescent Assortment (144212) There are so many different colors in this assortment that lend themselves to use with many different colors.
I hope you will try this card. It really was "quick and easy".
Have a Blessed Easter and I'll see you next month.
