Earth Day

Hello Stampers.  It is Wednesday again.  That's two in a row.  Perhaps a new record for blogging for me.  Hope you are well and enjoying your week.

In honor of Earth Day (I know it was a couple of days ago), I made a green card.  Not something I do a lot.  It is a A2 card that uses the stamp set Falling Flowers (139556), which will carry over to the new catalog, as well as Beautiful Bouquet (143666).  Another carry over to the new catalog.

What makes this card unique is the embossing.  If you have never embossed, I suggest you try it.  It is like magic when you heat it.  On this card, I inked the image with Versa Mark, then Wild Wasabi and stamped it .Covered it with clear embossing powder, and used the heat tool to make the magic happen.   I used a gel pen to create the white coloring of the flowers.  The Congratulations was stamped in the same manner.

I actually have never tried this technique before, but I love the way it turned out.  It means you can use any color of ink to emboss with.  Opens up a whole new world, if you ask me.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  Remember only a few more days until the Bundles from the new catalog will be available.  I will be back to tell you about them.

Have a joyful day.  Beverly

It's a Beautiful Day

Hello Everyone!  Its a Beautiful Day here in New Hampshire. May I say finally.  We had snow again this week.  Poor trees and spring flowers are very confused.

As I mentioned last time, I went to OnStage.  Had a wonderful time.  My friend, Jean, drove.  We ran into nasty weather, but all was well.  Met some really nice people.

As I am certain you have heard, Stampin Up is making some big changes in the catalog coming out June 1.  However, prior to that, on May 1 they are offering three bundles using the NEW Love What You Do stamp set.  You will be able to choose from three different offerings.  Each one having a few more items then the previous.

I made this card using that stamp set and the one of the new InColors Grapefruit Grove, which I really love.

This is just a taste of the set so you can get excited to see the bundles on May 1.

Have a great weekend.  Beverly

It's WEDNESDAY!

Well Hello Stampers.  It is Wednesday and time for another blog post.  I have no card for you today.  I wanted to let you know about a few upcoming things with Stampin Up.

First off, Sale-a-Bration is over.  Very sad.  I hope everyone was able to earn all of the free stuff you wanted.

Secondly, the Occasions Catalog is still going strong.  There are some wonderful sets in that beautiful little catalog that will be a great addition to your stamping needs.  I will post a card from that catalog next week.  The end date for the Occasions Catalog is April 30, so don't let time run out on you.

Thirdly, within the next couple of weeks, the Retired List will be out. These are stamps and other items that Stampin Up will no longer be carrying.  I will try to have a post up with these items listed as some of them sell out quickly.

Lastly, I am going to OnStage with some of my fellow Stampin Up demonstrators on Saturday.  This is a one-day event where we get training and, most importantly, get our hands on the new catalog coming out June 1.  While I will not be able to share information with you, I will be able to share my excitement.  This event is being held world wide.  There are different cities all over the US and other countries where Stampin Up has a presence.  It makes it easier for demonstrators to attend.

That is all for today.  Have a great week.  See you next week.
