Case-ing Tuesday for the New Year!

Happy New Year!!!!!  Well tomorrow!  Do you have big party plans.  I do not.  Unfortunately, I am usually asleep by midnight.  Although maybe if someone invited me to a party, I might stay up.  lol

Today's CASE is a quick and easy one.  I used the Seriously the Best Stamp Set in the new mini catalog which goes LIVE in just a couple of days.  Went crazy with Gorgeous Grape.  Added leaves in Pretty Peacock using the Leaf Punch.

This is a very easy card and nice to make for quick occasions.

Gone Golfing Case-ing Tuesday

Happy Holidays Stampers!!!!  I hope you enjoy the holidays.  It is a special time of year.  My daughter in law just texted me the girls are very excited.  Cannot wait until to tomorrow to see them.

Today's Case is using the new Clubhouse Suite.  I plan are using this set a lot as my husband is an avid golfer.  He even liked the card.

The Designer Series Paper is Birthday Bonanza.  It is very fun paper with lots of bright colors.

Shimmer Paint and Floral Essence

Hello Stampers!  One week to go for the holidays.  Please remember I will not have a Blog Post next Wednesday.

Today I recreated a card I have been wanting to do for a while.  It is kind of like creating your own background paper, but it is the focal point of the card.

The card is done in black and white.  The Floral Essence flowers are stamped in Memento Ink Black.  I added some shimmer paint to make it sparkle.  I am not certain it shows in the photograph, but check out my YouTube channel, Beverly McGuire-My Messy Room Stamper, and it really shines.

The ribbon is Shimmer Ribbon in Basic Black.  The sentiment is Itty Bitty Greetings, which I use a lot.

Case-ing Tuesday 230

Good Morning Stampers!!!  It is snowing again here.  All of that other snow just melted and now it is back.  lol

I said I wasn't going to do it, but I swear I cannot resist.  I made another card with new products.  Sorry. It's like getting a new sweater, you have to wear it.  

I do love this sketch.  It is easy to use in many ways.  This is why I love Case-ing Tuesday.  

I used the Poppy Parade as a background on the Mango Melody Paper.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Birthday Bonanza Collection.  And, as always, I love a large sentiment and it works well here.  It is from Seriously The Best.  Even the ribbon is from the Mini Catalog.  It is Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon.  A few days ago I used the ribbon and had so much static cling, I couldn't get it off my fingers.

SNEAK PEAK - SALE A BRATION

Hello Stampers!!!!  Pretend it's still Wednesday or if you had a bad day like I did admit you lost Wednesday.  

So another day late blog post.  I apologize.  I had it ready, just did not do it.  What are ya going to do.  

Today, I decided to show you one of the stamps from the Sale a Bration Catalog.  This is The Gang's All Meer.   Cute little Meer Cats.  I do love these little guys.  So many different occasions to use this set.  Wait until you see it.  Excited yet?

Before I get to the specifics, the Sale A Bration items are "earnable" starting January 3.  For every $50 you  spend with Stampin Up (and, hopefully in my store), you "earn" a free stamp sets.  Now to be honest some of the items in the catalog require a $100 purchase, but most are $50.  It is kind of a buy and get one free situation.  

On the card, I combined a few things.  I used Crumb Cake card stock with Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper for the banner.  The layer behind the Meer Cats is Coastal Cabana.  

The banner is cut at 1 1/2 by 6 to give room to cut the edges.  The center pieces are 4 1/8 by 3 1/8 with the Whisper White layer 4 by 3.  It is a great layout that certainly can be used in many ways.

Purple Posy Case-ing Tuesday 229

Hello Stampers.  Happy Tuesday.  Hope everyone is getting their holiday preparations ready.  Not much longer.  Like two weeks.  

Today I used Purple Posy for the challenge.  I do love this paper and am sorry about the matching ink.  However, Highland Heather looks beautiful with it.  The Designer Series Paper is Woven Threads.  

Sometimes when you first look at a pack of DSP, you over look some of the beautiful under sides of it.  I know I did with this one.  

I used Pop Of Petals for the flower and Beautiful Friendship for the sentiment.  

I love how it all came together and I hope you do as well.

White Wash Technique

Happy Wednesday Stampers!!!  Hope the week is great for you and your holiday shopping is moving along.  

Here in New Hampshire we have 22 inches of snow and something is wrong with my car!!!!!  It is ok (NOT), I can still create. 

Today I found a new technique.  White Wash.  I embossed the stamp onto Sahara Sand Cardstock using Craft White Ink and White Embossing Power.  Then I made a puddle with a White Craft ReInker and Aqua Painter. I painted in the flowers, making them white.  This enabled me to color the flowers with the Stampin Blends.  Make sense? (Probably not)  I show the technique on my YouTube Channel Beverly McGuire MyMessyRoomStamper.  It will be up tomorrow.  

I hope you enjoy the card and the technique.  I do not believe it is new, just new to me.

Mercury Glass Acetate Package Finally Opened

For today's Case-ing Tuesday, I decided to break open the Mercury Glass Acetate Paper.  I love the look of this paper, but just kept admiring it.  

I decided to use Bermuda Bay cardstock so it would really pop behind the paper.  Then I went a little wild and added some color to my Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.  Just to add some color.  

The sentiment is from the A Little Lace Stamp Set. I use the sentiments in this stamp set a lot.  Really love them.
