Happy Wednesday Stampers!!! Hope your week is going well. It is really cold here. Winter cold and I don't like it one bit.
Today's card is made with the Perfectly Plaid Suite. There is beautiful paper, a stamp set and a punch. All of it I used in the card. Makes it convenient.
I am calling this card sketch a Floating Layer. I am not certain that is the correct name, but that is what I am going with. The sketch has been around a while. I felt it lent itself perfectly to this suite.
On my YouTube Channel, Beverly McGuire My Messy Room Stamper, I have demonstrated how to cut and put the card together. Please visit my channel for that.
The card is an A2 card cut on the 8 1/2 inch side at 4 1/4. It is scored at 5 1/2. After scoring, cut 3 1/2 inches off of one side. That will leave a 2 inch piece at the top. You will then cut the 3 1/2 inch off to 2 inches. This will be the layer on the bottom. The Floating Layer is cut at 2 1/4x4 1/4. Each of the layers are cut 1/4 inch less. I did use a layer on the inside because I used Cherry Cobbler and I also used that layer to stamp the Christmas Tree in Shaded Spruce.
Please try this card sketch. There are a lot of stamps in the Holiday Catalog that lend themselves to it. The video on YouTube explains it well.
The products are available in my Online Store and I would appreciate your business.
I am going to OnStage on Friday, so I will have news for the New Year from there. Also, the Holiday Extravaganza is coming up next week so be on the look out for announcements.
Beverly
